Retaining wall construction continues this week along the right shoulder on eastbound Route 2 just prior to Sutton Avenue. Pipe jacking is still underway across from the Trinity Boat House on Riverside Drive in East Hartford. Demolition of the Ensign Street bridge continues, and lead paint removal is underway underneath the Sutton Avenue and Main Street bridges. An infiltration basin is being installed within the area between the eastbound High Street onramp and Route 2.

Electrical work, including the installation of underground cable and light pole foundations, continues on westbound Route 2.
Traffic Impacts
Expect right lane closures during overnight electrical work. Lane closures, and possibly alternating one-way traffic, may also occur in the vicinity of bridge work this week.
