Retaining wall construction continues along the right shoulder on eastbound Route 2 just prior to Sutton Avenue. Ensign Street bridge demolition and lead paint removal underneath the Sutton Avenue and Main Street bridges will continue. Additional activities involving the bridges will begin.

The retaining wall construction at Willow Street is ongoing. Expect activities on or near the roadway. Concrete form work for bridge elements is on going. Installation of the temporary bridge will be begin on Monday, with Willow Street traffic detoured during the day. Activities at the the site will be close to the road, so traffic is advised to use caution.

Work along Route 3 for electrical work continues. Expect right shoulder closures.

Concrete barrier installation along Rte. 2 in the vicinity of Willow Street is expected.

Backfilling of the new median barrier is ongoing.

Traffic Impacts 

Expect lane closures during overnight electrical work.

Lane closures, and possibly alternating one-way traffic, may also occur in the vicinity of bridge work this week.
